Last Friday, the eastbrooke homes team swapped their office attire for hi-vis vests and joined forces with members of the One Horton Heath and Wates teams for a community litter pick in Fair Oak village.
The event was part of a joint effort to give back to the local area, led by eastbrooke homes – proud developers of The Lower Acre, the very first residential phase of the One Horton Heath (OHH) project. They were joined by members of the OHH team and Wates Group, the contracted builders of The Lower Acre’s initial phases.
The volunteers met on the outskirts of The Lower Acre development, where they had a chance to see the exciting progress first-hand; with scaffolding having been erected on the first few plots, making way for the timber frames to be erected this week.
With bin bags in hand, the group started at Brookfield Park, travelling along Fair Oak Road, Eastleigh Road and finishing in Stubbington Way – collecting around 10kg of litter from local parks, footpaths, verges, and pavements.

“It was great to get out and make a small but meaningful difference in the community,”
said a volunteer from eastbrooke homes. “These homes will soon be part of a vibrant village with improved green spaces and infrastructure. Helping to clean up the area now is one way we can contribute positively, for both local residents and the ecology alike.”
